The activities of the weekend around the Channel Islands / Oxnard / Port Hueneme?
I'm at a friend who lives in Oxnard / Port Hueneme by (Thursday - Sunday / Monday) and I wonder what kind of activities are available to work on the mainland or islands. Everything is local or tourist is to me. Moreover, nothing suitable for couples or groups is perfect, asking nothing. So, almost anything! The exotic, the bizarre, the unusual, the tourist do not care! I'm curious to know how to walk along the National Park Channel Islands, but I would like more information on what it offers to help me to decide. Personal experiences, recommendations, and time / needs / costs are very popular. NPS subcontractors of government have all kinds of boat rides, walking, flora buffer birds, diving excursions from Oxnard, Ventura and Santa Barbara. The nearest island is Anacapa, this which is 14 miles away (one way ).... 4 Channel Islands goes much farther into the ocean. This time much more involved in your vacation. If you've already done a lot of other things that would be good. It's really something to say, second or third trip to Los Angeles or something ... unless you are totally into this kind of thing ....
